Family Financial Commitment

Recognizing that each family bears the primary responsibility for financing a student’s education costs, all parents/guardians will need to contribute financially to a Sant Bani School education. In cases of divorce, separation or non-marriage, both parent households will need to fill out financial aid information and assume responsibility for their children’s educational expenses unless specific court-ordered arrangements or divorce agreements indicating otherwise are supplied to the School. If special circumstances exist, please be sure to include that in the optional personal statement.

Qualifying for Financial Aid

All financial aid is awarded based on need. Each family’s application is considered individually. Applying for financial aid does not guarantee that you will be eligible for financial aid, nor does being eligible guarantee that there will be financial aid available.

Applying for Financial Aid

In order to base its decisions on a common standard that treats all families fairly, the Financial Aid Committee (FAC) requires all families requesting financial aid to submit an application to FACTS Financial Aid & Grant Assessment and supply all required tax documents. Applicants should apply to FACTS online and use Sant Bani School Code 4754.

Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:

  • Copies of your 2020 Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules. (We understand that preparing your tax returns in advance of the IRS deadlines represents an inconvenience. We will accept your 2019 tax return and an estimated tax return for 2020 followed by the official 2020 return once complete; however, our initial financial aid award could change based upon differences in your estimated and actual 2020 return.)
  • Copies of your 2020 W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
  • Copies of corporate returns and/or K-1’s for 2020.
  • Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.

All supporting documentation should be uploaded in PDF format online, faxed to 1-866-315-9264 or mailed to the address below. Please be sure to include the applicant ID on all faxed or mailed correspondence.

Determination of Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Committee (FAC) makes all determinations as to awards of Financial Aid. While the FACTS information is essential in ensuring that the financial resources of all families are assessed in the same way and thus provides a common benchmark, the figures provided by FACTS are simply a starting point for the FAC in making its determinations. The FAC considers a number of factors in reaching its decision in an effort to tailor its award to the specific needs and capacities of each family. Transportation fees cannot be considered for financial aid.

Provided that all required financial aid materials have been submitted by the appropriate deadlines, a financial aid offer and an admission decision are delivered at the same time. A family is not required to make an enrollment decision without knowledge of the financial aid award. We cannot guarantee that a qualified applicant will receive financial aid if the deadlines are not met.

Source of Financial Aid Dollars

The School’s ability to offer financial aid depends on the generosity of donors world-wide who are committed to the School and its principles. The School receives no financial support from local, state or federal government agencies. FACTS also provides no financial assistance to Sant Bani School.

Other Sources of Funding for Parents

In addition to need-based financial aid offered by the School there are opportunities for financial help from other institutions.

Scholarships: New Hampshire parents will be eligible for private school scholarships funded by tax credits from corporate donations to organizations that provide such scholarships. Scholarships are reserved for students whose family income is less than 300 percent of the federal poverty line ($75,300 for a family of four). For further information visit Children's Scholarship Fund NH.

Loans: A number of companies offer loans specifically for private primary and secondary educations. To view a list of these companies, please visit www.nais.org and look under the tab “Admission and Financial Aid” and then “Financial Aid Facts for Parents” and then “Tuition Payment Plans” and “Tuition Loan Programs.”
