Head of School

Sant Bani School welcomes Head of School Dan Love. Returning to Sanbornton will be a homecoming for Dan and his family, who originally joined the SBS community over a decade ago. Their two sons, Gordon and Gus, attended Sant Bani School and Dan’s wife, Amy, served on the faculty as our first grade teacher before the Loves moved abroad in 2016.

Dan brings 27 years of experience as both administrator and educator and just finished his fifth year as Director of Teaching and Learning at the American International School in Chennai, India. He began his career with five years at the Colorado Outward Bound School, another four in large and small public schools, eight years in independent school leadership, and ten years in international schools on three different continents. Prior to India, Dan spent nine years in New Hampshire at New Hampton School where he garnered accolades as Dean of Faculty and Global Curriculum Coordinator. Those who knew Dan at New Hampton provided our Search Committee with glowing references and expressed delight at the prospect of him rejoining the local educational community. 

A Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University was followed by a Masters Degree from Chapman University, and Dan is currently a Doctorate of Education Candidate at Plymouth State University. Dan is also an engaged member of numerous professional associations and a regular presenter at independent school conferences.
