The Health Education program has been developed in accordance with guidelines of the State of New Hampshire Health Education Standards and the National Health Education Standards. Age-appropriate topics are introduced and discussed in a respectful and supportive environment.
In the younger grades, our goals are to develop a caring community and to encourage good choices. Students have daily class meetings with their homeroom teacher to share experiences, address issues of concern to the group and problem-solve together.
In middle school, the focus is on growth and change. The goal is for students to gain a greater awareness about what constitutes their physical, mental and social well-being. Obtaining the knowledge and skills that enable students to make responsible decisions will ultimately lead to a healthy lifestyle.
